Sire Lexicon:
In the pedigree of Lexicon, we find five preference stallions in a row, who are all important building blocks that have established the modern sport horse. Father Voltaire made his mark oviously in sport and in breeding. Mother, grandmother and great grandmother are all declared preference (preferent), mother and grandmother are both mares with the predicate prestatie (performance).
Lexicon's mother Dakina may be called a breeding phenomenon. She is mother of three approved stallions and multiple national and international show jumpers.
Dakina's offspring, apart from Lexicon:
* Hofnar (by Rex Magna xx), KWPN approved and national dressage stallion
* Ilan (by Rex Magna xx) national show jumper
* Ontario (by Voltaire), 3rd level dressage and national show jumper
* Calina Z (by Carthago), winner of team gold and individual silver at the European Championships for junior riders in 2005 with Gerben Morsink, and mother of Zekina Z, who was World Champion of the 6-year-olds with Morsink in Lanaken 2007
* Carthino Z (by Carthago Z), KWPN approved. Winner silver medal at the World Championships for 7-year-old show jumpers in 2007.
Lexicon jumped at the highest level with Helen McNaught, Michael Whitaker and Ray Texel and won many classes. These riders praised the stallion for his unbridled commitment, scope and carefulness.
One of Lexicon's first offspring is the top Grand Prix show jumper Primeval Wings, owned by his rider Gert Jan Bruggink. After his international career, Lexicon came to the Netherlands in 2008 and achieved the KWPN approval. His foals are ranked high at breeding
Dam sire Padinus:
With Heartbreaker as a sire and Grannus on the dam’s side, Padinus shows an impressive pedigree. His sire Heartbreaker is one of the top stallions of Europe because of his own performance at Grand Prix level and the performances of his offspring at Grand Prix Level. His index top the chart for his group age with a staggering 173 with 93% reliability.
Padinus has the bloodlines of the world famous stallions Grannus, Tangelo and Courville in his dam line. Padinus’ dam, Ladina Keur, sport, is a very successful show jumping mare with Wil Schellekens. In 2002 they were 2nd in the Grand Prix of Luxemburg. Padinus had the perfect conformation and is a “showman”. Over the fences he shows a fantastic technique and a lot of scope. Ridden by Eddie Brinkman, Padinus shows that his breeder Mr. Poppelaars had tremendous foresight by combining this excellent genetic bloodlines.
Padinus jumped very well at National level ridden by Eddie Brinkman and competed very successfully at 1.30 m. level with Peter Geerink. Their many wins and high placing include Indoor Brabant, Varsseveld etc. With his charming personality and the perfect jumping technique, the eye-catcher Padinus, was a tremendous acquisition for the breeders of show jumpers. Unfortunately Padinus did not have the opportunity to show the world his enormous potential as he died in 2005 in a tragic accident at the young age of eight. Padinus offspring are very successful and there is no more semen available in Europe.
In 2008 Padinus ranked FIRST with a breeding index of 165 in jumping with 73% reliability for stallions with offspring in sport between the age of 4 to 6 years old. His first crop assessment by the KWPN received high praise :“Padinus showed a very uniform collection of high legged, riding type foals that were royally developed, radiate blood and have a sufficiently, rectangular model. The foals show good balance, power and space in both trot and canter. In their movements the foals show a good self-carriage.”
